The Snowy Day

Caldecott Medal Winner — #1 National Bestseller One snowy morning, a little boy named Peter puts on his snowsuit and steps out into a winter wonderland. Captivated by the way snow has transformed his world, he spends the day making snow angels, building a snowman, and sliding down slick mountains. By the time he comes inside, Peter thinks his adventures are over — but when he wakes up the next morning, new snowfall has covered the earth once more. Named the #1 “Top Checkout of All Time” by the New York Public Library and one of The Atlantic’s 65 Essential Children’s Books, The Snowy Day beautifully depicts a child’s wonder at a new world — perfect for reading together on a cozy winter day.
