The ROPER PROTECTOR SADDLE PAD

The Roper PROTECTOR SADDLE PAD, Felt upper, has the patented CORRECTOR WEIGHT DISTRIBUTING SYSTEM made into a single unit saddle pad. The PROTECTOR pad comes with 6 front and 4 rear 1/4" balance shims. Front shims slip under th 1/8" felt top layer & ride above the Horse shaped Plastic shields front & rear. The shims are not moved around to play saddle-fit. The protective shields takes care of that. The shims are used for balancing the you, the rider. The only thing you have to do is to try them and see how many put you in a better position to Rope. The front shims take the ROCK out of a saddle while you balance yourself with them. We use an oiled tanned & durable wear-leather. The ROPER PROTECTOR has a 1/2" black polyester felt bottom layer. Next is a 3MM FELT LINER PAD  cut to match the PROTECTOR Saddlepad. Liner is fastened front & rear with 1" ELASTIC & velcro at top, it doesn't move around.  The Pad has been known to last for 10 years without a LINER. The the 1/10" thick aircraft plastic shields have 112 running inches of slots cut to provide ventilation and are the secret to passive control of saddle pressures. Then they are molded to a horse-shape where they're supposed to ride. ROPER Pad comes with the 3mm FELT LINER Pad for closer contact and NO BREAK-IN or the FLEECE option for $30 extra. The FLEECE IS GLUED & SEWN to the 3mm FELT LINER with a marine Vinyl Re-enforcement center strip.   The ROPER Protector pad has a 6oz. leather center re-enforcement Center strip of Oil tanned leather.  Size Chart: 30/32 for Roping saddles with skirts 25" or shorter. 32/34 for Roping saddles with skirts longer than 26". The full 32 inch square version is available again & works with most 14.5 up to 16 inch saddles.   I try to keep some Roper Pads in stock, if not I build and ship in a week.
