Rob Hanes Adventures Vol. 2 - Signed

Collects issues 5-8 of the long-running action-adventure indie comic-book series, Rob Hanes Adventures. Rob Hanes is a globetrotting troubleshooter for Justice International, a security, intelligence, and private investigation firm, who travels the world on assignment, facing adventure, intrigue, and romance at every turn! Every issue is complete and self-contained. #5 - Was Rob's father, Patrick Hanes, the notorious Soviet double agent, Glowworm? Rob seeks the truth. #6 - A nuclear scientist named Octavius Jebru with ties to terrorists has disappeared and is believed to be hiding in the French Alps. Rob has been hired to find him. Unfortunately, the agency also is undergoing budget cuts. Which begs the question--can a worldwide investigation be conducted on the cheap? #7 - While visiting friends in England, Rob is asked to solve an old-fashioned drawing room murder mystery. More accustomed to leaping head first into action than playing Sherlock Holmes, Rob soon finds himself over his head and out of his depth as the story races to its surprising (and amusing) conclusion! #8 - Rob is hired to follow in the footsteps of an explorer who disappeared in Africa decades ago while searching for a used diamond from the continent's colonial past. We have four Rob Hanes TPB collections available: Rob Hanes Adventures, Vol. 1, Rob Hanes Adventures, Vol. 2, Rob Hanes Adventures, Vol. 0, and The Rob Hanes Archives. In 2018, series creator Randy Reynaldo received San Diego Comic-Con's prestigious Inkpot Award for Contributions to Comic Art. "Randy's got a sharp sense of character and an ear for telling dialogue. "His plots move fast, and twist nicely and often, and he can find plenty of adventure in the modern world, whether it's bandits versus spies in the Middle East, or political corruption in the aftermath of the breakup of the Soviet Union. "Rob Hanes is an adventure hero, cut from the same cloth as the heroes of old. "He's honorable, he's impulsive, he's up to his neck in blackguards, bullets and beautiful women, he's got a sense of irony and a sense of moral outrage, and they come out when appropriate, and he can hold his own, whether it's on a posh ballroom floor, or leaping from a motorcycle to a speeding truck on a bumpy mountain road." -Excerpt from the Foreword by Kurt Busiek
