The River Sentinel (Open Edition)

The Story A profile portrait of an Osprey perched on a jagged rock, its plumage illuminated by a warm golden sunset glow against a soft-focus green and blue background. The Location Captured along the shores of the Potomac River. Artist's Perspective "The golden rim light on this osprey's feathers only happens when the sun is within a few degrees of the horizon. I positioned myself so the bird would be backlit, and those talons gripping the rock tell you everything about what this animal is built for." — Ryan Lott Curator's Recommendation The vertical orientation (portrait cut) makes this piece exceptionally versatile for narrow wall spaces, flanking doorways, or as a statement piece in an entryway. Available as a fine art paper print or archival-quality framed canvas in white or black. Particularly well-suited for high-traffic spaces where visual impact is paramount.
