Nightfell: The Risen

Creator: D.W. Vogel Category: Novel Age Range: Adult Vibes: Fantasy, undead heroes, science of magic, bioweapons In Short: In a world where the undead protect the living, a man searches for his lost wife, and a scientist seeks for ways to quell an undead uprising. What's It About: It’s a time of peace in the world of Berun. The Beneathers have agreed to a treaty, and the Risen—undead who protect the living from Beneather monsters—have far less to do than in previous years. Scientist Sorreg uses the peace to her advantage. She’s seeking magic that will make improvements for the Risen. But among the undead, resistance is rumbling, and full fledged riots are brewing. Farmer Dolen is thrust into that conflict as he seeks out his missing wife, Rayli; when Dolen and Sorreg’s paths cross, the future changes for them both. With gladiatorial combat, titanic monsters, and a conspiracy meant to undermine the very nature of the Risen, this adventure from D. W. Vogel deepens the setting of the original graphic novel, Nightfell, giving readers a new era to explore.
