THE RHYTHM PLAYBOOK

The Rhythm Playbook is a one-of-a-kind drum library created with drummer David James, produced by Dotan “Tane” Bergman. This pack dives deep into jazz drum textures - swing, Latin, brushes, and funk - captured with the feel, nuance, and movement of classic 50s–60s jazz records. Not made for jazz purists, but for hip-hop producers looking to sample outside the usual funk & soul lane. From brushed swing patterns to dusty bossa grooves, uptempo Latin rhythms, and rare funk-jazz breaks, these drum performances capture nuances that are difficult to achieve with programmed drums, blending perfectly into boom-bap, lo-fi, soulful hip-hop, and house. Drum textures made to be sampled, layered, and reimagined.
