The pond, 2020, Mixed media on paper, 6 x 6 inches, unframed.

The Pond – Original Mixed Media Painting on PaperA beautiful pond surrounded by soft purple florals and delicate branches in the fullness of Spring — that is the world The Pond invites you into. The florals feel almost fuzzy, like a memory half-remembered, or the gentle blur of a warm afternoon spent outdoors. Juanita Bellavance painted this with a sense of wonder and nostalgia, and it carries that feeling effortlessly. Whether you grew up near a pond or simply dream of one, this painting will feel like coming home.
