The Pompadour Napkin Ring Set (6)

She didn't just host dinner. She made it history. Madame de Pompadour — mistress of Versailles, patron of the arts, and the woman who elevated the French table to an act of cultural power — understood that beauty at dinner was never accidental. She commissioned the porcelain. She chose the birds. She set the standard. The Pompadour napkin ring set carries that same deliberate eye. Six rings, each centered on a hand-painted peacock eye in howlite — the same exotic bird that strutted Versailles' gardens and obsessed Rococo artists across Europe. Celestite blue stones frame the pendant above and below, while speckled moss ceramic beads ground the strand in matte weight. Turquoise-dyed shell disks and leaf-green Preciosa crystals evoke the luminous glazes of Sèvres porcelain — the manufactory Pompadour herself brought into existence. This is bohemian maximalism with an art history footnote. A table set with The Pompadour doesn't just look beautiful — it has something to say. One set. Six rings. Never restocked. Materials: Speckled moss ceramic beads · turquoise-dyed shell disk spacers · leaf green Preciosa crystal rondelles · celestite blue stone · howlite with hand-painted peacock eye · stretch cord Care: Hand wash gently. Store flat. Gift Idea: Pair with a bottle of Sauternes, a coffee table book on Sèvres porcelain, and peacock-hued linens — a gift for the friend who sets a table like she means it.
