The Pirates (Digital)

"The Pirates" is a dramatic account of a little-known conflict—The Barbary Wars. Pirates along the Barbary coast of Africa are capturing ships and demanding tribute payments, but President Thomas Jefferson decides enough is enough. He sends the U.S. Navy and Marines to the Barbary Coast to put an end to this piracy. Today, the Barbary Wars echo down to us in the line of the Marine Corps hymn about “the shores of Tripoli,” but most know little about the conflict. Explore it all in "The Pirates." 36 Pages Rating: T Flesch-Kincaid Grade Level: 6.5   IMPORTANT: Please see our Frequently Asked Questions at the bottom of the product page before making a purchase.
