Red maca, the rarest form of maca, has been studied for its primary effects to help assist in protecting bone structure and bone density; to help boost energy and vitality naturally; to help balance hormones, especially its protective role for the endocrine system related to thyroid and helping promote a healthy prostate and healthy prostate function. May have some therapeutic benefits related to conditional needs of acne, fertility, thyroid function, libido and fertility. Black maca has been studied for its primary effects to help assist in elevating sperm mobility, sperm volume and to help balance reproductive function in both males and females; to help support endocrine function, particularly in helping counteract adrenal fatigue and adrenal alarm; may help improve bone strength and bone density; may help promote memory, concentration, mental clarity, the ability to focus and cognitive health and may help reduce anxiety and depression.  MACA MASTER is used holistically to help deliver vital nutrition to organs which are charged with supporting the Endocrine system, specifically thyroid and hypothalamic-pituitary adrenal (HPA) function, which are the master glands in the animal body. MACA MASTER may help nutritionally balance adrenal function when imbalance is present due to its adaptogenic plant actions; may help nutritionally nourish and help regenerate stressed or under performing glandular function; may help restore proper metabolic function, which is essential to all body systems and may help limit diseases caused by metabolic dysfunction and conditional needs related to obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular, Cushing's and Addison's disease due to its high antioxidant, free radical fighting, nutritional and adaptogen plant actions and plant profile. Maca has been studied for its adaptogen content and ability to help stimulate, nourish and rebuild glandular tissue, including the hypothalamus and pituitary glands, which are the master glands in the animal body. The hypothalamus and pituitary glands help regulate all other glands in the body, including producing and maintaining hormones, which are required for every body system to operate properly. This process becomes more critical in cases of metabolic disorders such as Cushing's disease, Addison's disease and diabetes.  Maca has a history of use for animals for over 3,000 years and has been widely researched for its nutritional and potential health benefits for dogs, cats and horses. Journal of Veterinarian Medicine & PetFoodIndustry recognizes maca as functional food for dogs and cats Maca has also been qualified as a functional super food due to its nutritive content which may help nourish all body systems, including endocrine, nervous, cardiovascular, digestive, reproductive, circulatory and excretory systems and may encourage body system balance as well as may be an important antioxidant disease preventative for your pet. An adaptogen is a highly specialized plant that is naturally code with a read, repair and restore function. The maca plant works intrinsically and synergistically to help read and repair glandular, metabolic and oxidative dysfunction, but may also nutritionally help restore balance in the animal body. Reducing metabolic stress in our dogs and cats is important because it disrupts nutrient assimilation, undermines immunity and opens up susceptibility to metabolic diseases, including diabetes, Cushing's, Addison's and other metabolic conditions. MACA MASTER may help nutritionally support healthy hypothalamic-pituitary adrenal (HPA) function, helping to support the gland's ability to rebuild and regenerate, and may help promote healthy adrenal, parotid, pituitary, pineal and thyroid gland function when dysfunction is present. (* As recommended by holistic veterinarians for use under a traditional medical system) MACA MASTER is used by holistic veterinarians in the traditional treatment of Cushing’s disease (also called hyperadrenocorticism) and Addison’s disease (also called chronic adrenal insufficiency, hypocortisolism & hypoadrenalism) due to its adaptogenic plant chemistry to support and repair irregularities in glandular function and may also help manage symptoms of thirst and urination, rash, scabs, flaking skin, hair loss and panting. MACA MASTER may help encourage strong skin and healthy coat and may help counteract coat loss common to Cushing's and Addison's; may help support electrolyte balance and reduce infection susceptibility, which are common with Cushing's and Addison's disease; and may help to improve pancreatic function, reduce insulin fluctuation and hypoglycemia, which is critically important in cases of diabetes. MACA MASTER may help stimulate the hypothalamus and thyroid, useful in cases of hypothyroidism, fatigue or when energy and vitality are lacking, while also functioning as a mild yet balanced Central Nervous System stimulant. Maca has a history of use for animals for over 2,000 years and has been widely researched for its nutritional and potential health benefits for dogs, cats and horses. Maca is bio-available water and fat soluable, meaning you cook, bake, serve it raw or sprinkle on your pet's diet and it can be fully assimilated. It's also safe for all life stage animals, including puppies, kittens to adult and senior dogs and cats. Another important nutritional component is that it may help support electrolyte balance, a critical need for immuno-compromised, convalescing or at-risk dogs and cats. Maca may be useful for breeding situations as it may help to regulate the testes; may increase testosterone levels, may balance hormone levels to help promote healthy reproductive function, producing stronger, healthier litters in dogs and cats. Secondary natural plant benefits include holistic use to help address and may alleviate symptoms related to arthritis, osteoporosis, rheumatism & Degenerative Joint Disease due to its alkaloid calcium content; may be used for tooth aches; hay fever; epilepsy; and as an antibacterial and antiviral for Helicobacter Pylori (H. Pylori) & E. coli. Emerging research on the role of the endogenous Endocannabinoid System (ECS) found within humans and animals, and its potential health impact, has expanded dramatically. Recently PubMed published articles linking compounds found in the Maca root with the ability to activate the Endocannabinoid System. Maca contains natural plant compounds called N-alkylamides (NAAs) as well as macamides, that can signal and activate the Endocannabinoid System, long thought only possible by using the hemp plants. Strongly anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, antibacterial, antifungal, anti-cholesterolemic. * Average nutritional content of Maca: Maca is a robust, nutrient-dense super food, with a rich in bio-available protein, amino acids, phytonutrients, fatty acids, vitamin and mineral panel. 59% Carbohydrates – Maca is rich in quality carbs, which, when combined with its alkaloid, amino acids base and other nutrients, make it a great choice for sustained energy. 10.2% Protein – Maca is loaded with bio-available plant protein that is easy for the body to assimilate. 8.5% fiber – Maca contains high levels of cellulose and lignan, both which stimulate intestinal function and help provide critical support to the digestive and elimination systems.
