The Ornate Circle

This mandala is built out of tight, repeating shapes, a pattern that feels like it goes on and on. The gold lines stand out hard against the black ground, and the small white points of mirror catch the light every time the angle shifts. It is a quiet piece, but one that moves as you move around it. The border pulls the eye back to the center, then lets it travel outward again. I like how the piece feels grounded yet alive, like a small window into something larger. The contrast gives it weight, and the mirrored dots give it a little breath. Size: 17.0 × 21.0 × 1.0 inches
