The Offering Painting

The Offering Painting by Charlotte Lanser 2025 Oil and plaster on wood 11 x 14 inches The mystery of a forgotten world lingers in this painting, where gothic tracery rises behind the scene and a pomegranate bleeds its jeweled seeds into the quiet air. It's flowers and branches envelop a statue of a woman whose face appears twice, once distant and once impossibly close, as though the work remembers her in fragments. She sits in contemplation, half claimed by shadow. Every element feels unearthed rather than painted, as if the canvas itself were holding a story that has never been fully told. About The Artist: Charlotte Lanser is a French American painter currently studying at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD).
