The Nursery

This print is of a pen and gouache illustration I made featuring an assortment of the dead baby birds I would routinely find on the sidewalks of my old Pittsburgh neighborhood. While I'd encountered dead baby birds on the ground before, the frequency with which I found them (and even adult birds) during my year of living there was other worldly, often finding numerous on a single walk during springtime and early summer. Ranging in sizes from tiny gummy bears to tennis balls, they were most often on stretches of sidewalks that weren't even near trees, and were never bloodied or mangled ruling out cats and the like as well, making me forever wonder about the culprit and if it was quite literally, just something in the air. These giclee prints are archival quality and are produced on 100% cotton rag hot press fine art paper that provides high contrast in black and white reproductions. size options : 5 x 7 in (12.7 x 17.78 cm)  8 x 10 in (20.32 x 25.4 cm)  11 x 14 in (27.94 x 35.56 cm) *Print is unframed
