What it is A real-food chocolate chip cookie dough protein bar delivering 20g of high-quality grass-fed protein in 185 calories. Sweetened with raw honey and coconut nectar. The chocolate chips are 70% organic chocolate sweetened with organic coconut sugar instead of refined cane sugar, keeping the entire bar free of refined sugar. Flavored with organic vanilla extract. Built for people who want a cookie dough protein bar that tastes like actual cookie dough, made from ingredients the human body recognizes. Why it exists Cookie dough is one of the most popular protein bar flavors in the category. Almost every option on the market uses some combination of milk protein isolate, polydextrose, erythritol, sucralose, acesulfame potassium, sunflower lecithin, or synthetic fat substitutes. The Lineage Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough bar is the real-food alternative: highest proportion of animal-derived ingredients, lowest processing load in the category, and a flavor system built from actual food. What makes it different 100% real food, no industrial shortcuts. Every ingredient in this bar is something you could find at a grocery store or farm: whey, collagen, honey, coconut nectar, tallow, cocoa, vanilla, salt. No lab-made sweeteners, no engineered fibers, no synthetic fats, no flavor systems. The kind of ingredient list you can actually pronounce. Real chocolate chips sweetened with coconut sugar, not cane sugar. Standard chocolate chips use refined white sugar. Ours use 70% organic chocolate sweetened with organic coconut sugar, a lower-glycemic sweetener that retains trace minerals. This single substitution keeps the entire bar free of refined sugar. Real vanilla extract, no flavor systems. Most cookie dough bars use vanillin or "natural flavors" to mimic vanilla character. Lineage uses organic vanilla extract, the same kind you'd use in a home kitchen. Protein quality, not just protein quantity. 20g of protein from grass-fed whey concentrate and 100% grass-fed bovine collagen. The collagen contributes roughly 2g of glycine per bar, supporting joints, tendons, skin, and gut lining. Most cookie dough bars use whey isolate alone and skip collagen entirely. No EPG, no sugar alcohols, no artificial sweeteners. Most cookie dough protein bars rely on synthetic fat substitutes (EPG), polydextrose (a fiber syrup), erythritol, sucralose, acesulfame potassium, or stevia to hit their macros. Lineage uses none of these. Total sugar per bar: 10g, all from real food. Ancestral fat source. 100% grass-fed and finished beef tallow. Carries fat-soluble nutrients (A, D, E, K2), stable at room temperature, no oxidation risk. No seed oils, no palm kernel oil, no engineered fat substitutes. Cookie dough texture without industrial binders. Most cookie dough bars hit their texture with gums, glycerine, or fiber syrups. We bind with raw honey and coconut nectar, real-food humectants that hold moisture naturally. The result is soft, chewy, and slightly bouncy with discrete cocoa bites. Built to recruit beyond the ancestral niche. This is the most mainstream flavor in the Lineage lineup. If you've been skeptical of clean-label bars, this is the one to start with. Best for On-the-go protein, post-workout recovery, between-meal satiety, kids' lunchboxes, dessert alternative, travel, everyday real-food snacking. How to use Pre-workout (30 to 60 minutes before), post-workout (within 30 minutes), between meals, kids' snack, or as a dessert alternative. No usage limit or restrictions. Storage note Bar texture varies slightly with room temperature. Below 60°F it firms up; above 80°F it softens. If your bar arrives soft, pop it in the fridge for 20 to 30 minutes and it'll firm back up. Chocolate chips may be unevenly distributed bar-to-bar (we add them as the final mixing step to keep them intact rather than forcing uniformity). Natural color variation may develop over time due to Maillard reactions between proteins and sugars: this is a normal indicator of real-food ingredients. Store in a cool, dry place. FAQ Does it actually taste like cookie dough? Yes. Raw honey + coconut nectar + vanilla extract give a cookie-dough-forward sweetness. The 70% organic chocolate chips add discrete dark cocoa bites. The whey finishes clean, with no chalky aftertaste. Are the chocolate chips dairy-free? The chocolate chip inclusion contains no dairy (cocoa liquor, organic coconut sugar, cocoa butter). The bar itself contains milk via the whey protein concentrate, which is why "Contains: Milk" appears on the label. How is this different from other cookie dough protein bars on the market? Most rely on milk protein isolate, polydextrose (a fiber syrup), erythritol (a sugar alcohol), sucralose, acesulfame potassium, sunflower lecithin, or synthetic fat substitutes to hit their macros. Lineage uses grass-fed whey concentrate + grass-fed bovine collagen for the protein blend, and real whole-food sweeteners (raw honey, organic coconut nectar, organic coconut sugar inside the chocolate chips). Different ingredient philosophy, different ingredient list, real food only. Can I taste the beef tallow? Most people describe the finish as buttery rather than beefy, which is closer to what real cookie dough actually tastes like. Tallow makes up roughly 6 to 8% of the bar by weight, and the vanilla and chocolate carry the dominant flavor profile. Is it paleo? Yes. Ingredients: animal protein, beef tallow, raw honey, coconut-derived sweeteners, cacao, vanilla, sea salt. Not strictly carnivore because of the honey, coconut nectar, coconut sugar, cacao, and vanilla. Is it gluten-free? The formula contains no gluten-bearing ingredients. The "No Gluten" claim on the carton is pending formal lab substantiation (under 20 ppm per FDA). Customers with celiac disease should wait for formal certification before trying the bar. Does the chocolate contain alcohol? No. Despite the name, cocoa liquor contains zero alcohol. It's pure ground cocoa nibs in paste form, the same way peanut butter is ground peanuts. I'm sensitive to dairy. Can I eat this? Many people who think they don't tolerate dairy are actually reacting to lactose, gums, emulsifiers, or heavy processing rather than whey itself. Whey protein concentrate contains significantly less lactose than whole milk, and this bar contains no gums, emulsifiers, or common dairy irritants. Individual responses vary. Why are the chocolate chips unevenly distributed? Chips are added as the final mixing step to keep them intact rather than fragmenting into the matrix. Even distribution is the target, but some variation bar-to-bar is normal. It's a sign we're not over-mixing or using a homogenizing agent to force uniformity. What is the money-back guarantee? If you don't think this is the best-tasting cookie dough protein bar you've tried, Lineage offers a 100% refund, no questions asked.
