The Leather Foot-Support Clog

A timeless European silhouette, reinterpreted with the clarity and material honesty that define Joe McCoy. Made in Japan from unprocessed vegetable-tanned cowhide, this clog pairs an organic, sculpted form with a leather footbed, zinc buckles, and a rubber-blended cork sole designed for comfort and stability throughout the day. Its roots go back centuries, but its spirit feels especially at home in the America of the 1960s, when simple natural materials and understated design resonated with a quieter kind of nonconformity. The result is relaxed, practical, and deeply wearable — the kind of piece that feels better the more it becomes your own. This Black Essential distills comfort, character, and countercultural ease into a single form — a clog built for all-day wear and a life lived without excess.
