The Last Refuge (Cody's War Book #5)

FROM THE MODERN MASTER OF THE ACTION ADVENTURE M.I.A. HUNTER SERIES COMES A NEW KIND OF MISSION… Domestic terrorism. The worst kind. A tiny US town on the Mexican border. Remote. A big day for this minuscule rural community. The President and First Lady are in town with their entourage to honor a deceased grand old man of the Party. A quick in-and-out visit to pay their respects and they’ll be home in DC before dark. Things go to hell when the crazed, homicidal Elkins clan hits town with their own bloody agenda. POTUS is taken hostage. Demands are made “or the executions will begin.” Back in Washington, CIA field agent Sara Durell, satisfied in knowing her friend, Jack Cody, has at long last left government service, healed from the personal tragedies that earned him the nickname Suicide Cody. But Sara’s world goes suddenly intense when once again she and Cody—this time separated by thousands of miles—must risk their lives to combat a brutal home front crisis.
