The Invitation

This piece captures Christ not in triumph, but in address. The gaze is steady. The hand is extended. There is no demand, no coercion—only an offering. This is the moment where choice is placed squarely in front of the individual. Nothing is hidden. Nothing is softened. In Scripture, Christ does not chase or compel. He calls. The weight of the decision belongs entirely to the one who stands before Him. To follow is costly. To refuse is permitted. The hand remains open either way. Rendered in stark monochrome, the composition strips the scene to its essence: invitation without pressure, authority without force. The outstretched hand breaks the distance between the divine and the personal, making the encounter unavoidable—but never forced.
