The Inbetween

CLICK TO ZOOM IN ON DETAIL (2015) I've always found the space in between being asleep and being awake truly surreal. Where consciousness is a vessel on autopilot gliding upon firing serpentine synapses, tossed about on waves of human condition. A shadowy borderland where fire versus water, where it's not quite day, not quite night, where you can speak with the dead, think of a brilliant title for your piece, remember that task you forgot to do, or recall in detail a dream from the night before. “There's a place I like to hide A doorway that I run through in the night Relax child, you were there But only didn't realize and you were scared It's a place where you will learn To face your fears, retrace the years And ride the whims of your mind Commanding in another world Suddenly you hear and see This magic new dimension” -- Silent Lucidity, Queensryche
