These custom built flashlights represent years of work to make affordable, powerful, portable ultraviolet LEDs a reality.  This light features three, powerful LEDs on a custom driver, powered by a single (included!) 21700 battery, all in a single sturdy host with integrated charger. The light includes a large 2.5" dichroic lens filter, which blocks unwanted wavelengths from exiting the flashlight, while allowing for far more UV light to pass through (80%) than the ZWB3 (40%) or HOYA filters (60%) found in other lights.  The long throw and tight, strong beam of the flashlight mean you can easily browse fluorescent minerals in a brightly lit mineral show or home setting without requiring total darkness.
