The Day That Changed Everything - SATB

Note: The SATB sheet music includes the vocal parts and piano accompaniment; the optional instrumental parts are sold as a separate option (see "C Inst. and Cello" options) Celebrate the joy and majesty of the Resurrection with this powerful SATB setting of "The Day That Changed Everything," a radiant Easter anthem testifying of Jesus Christ and the life-changing hope found in Him. Inspired by President Dieter F. Uchtdorf’s description of Easter as “the day that changed everything,” this Award of Distinction recipient in the 2024 Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints music contest traces the Savior’s journey—from the manger to the cross to the empty tomb—culminating in the triumphant declaration that He lives. With heartfelt text and a soaring melody, the piece beautifully expresses both the grandeur of the Resurrection and its deeply personal promise: because He lives, we are healed, redeemed, and made whole. Rich four-part harmony gives this setting depth and warmth, while expressive vocal pass-offs between sections add meaning, movement, and variety to the unfolding message. Tender, reverent moments blossom into a stirring chorus of praise—“With the heavens sing praise to God, our King, on this day that changed everything!”—creating a powerful opportunity for choirs to bear testimony through unified and dynamic sound. Scored for SATB and piano, this arrangement is ideal for Easter worship services and Resurrection-centered programs. The piano accompaniment, suited for an experienced pianist, supports the choir with both strength and sensitivity. Optional instrumental parts (C instrument and cello) are available separately, adding further brilliance and resonance to this profound celebration of the living Christ.
