The Ceramic Compact

The Ceramic Compact 1500W ceramic. 6 pounds. LED display, remote, child lock. About 25 cents an hour to run. We'll say it before you do Every 1500-watt heater on this site makes exactly the same heat. So does the USD 25 one at the hardware store. Anyone who tells you their heater is more efficient is selling you something. Here's what actually differs about this one. What Actually Differs 6 pounds. 17 inches tall. Moves with one hand. The Ceramic Tower is 9 pounds and 29 inches. This is the smaller sibling — for a nightstand, a desk, the bathroom. Not the whole room, the space right around you. ECO mode holds 68 degrees. Set it on ECO and the element cycles on and off to hold a preset 68 F. Not a marketing claim about "energy saving" — a real thermostat behavior that stops overheating one spot. LED display. Shows the current temperature and setting so you know what it is doing. Not a mystery box. Child lock. Hold the mode button for 3 seconds and the front panel locks. Kids can bump into it, adjust nothing. Good for nurseries or homes where curious hands are around. Ceramic PTC element that stops itself. PTC is self-regulating. If it overheats, resistance climbs and current drops. On top of that: tip-over shutoff, overheat protection, cool-touch shell. Nothing inside glows. Perfect For Bedside nightstand — warm the pillow area before you crawl in Home office desk — feet warm during morning calls Small bathrooms — 20-minute prewarm before a shower Nurseries — child lock plus cool-touch shell The one small cold spot in the house Specifications Heating element: PTC ceramic — self-regulating, nothing glows red Power settings: 1000W (low) / 1500W (high) Modes: High / Low / ECO (holds 68 F) Thermostat range: 50 F to 90 F, adjustable Display: LED — shows current temperature and setting Oscillation: automatic side-to-side sweep Timer: 1 to 12 hours, programmable auto-off Safety: tip-over shutoff, overheat protection, child lock, cool-touch shell Dimensions: 6 in W x 7 in D x 17 in H Weight: 6 lb Remote: included (batteries not included) Filter: removable dust filter, rinse in warm water Cost to run at 1500W: about USD 0.25 per hour at the US average rate of 16.5 cents per kWh What Is Included 1x The Ceramic Compact heater 1x Remote control (batteries not included) 1x User manual What It Cannot Do It will not warm a 300 sq ft living room — that is what The Ceramic Tower is for. It will not run silent. It should not be left on unattended overnight. What it will do is warm the space right around it in about ten minutes and be small enough to move to wherever you actually sit.
