The CBB "Phantom Step"

PHANTOM STEP: Your New Ultralight Obsession Feel Everything. Fear Nothing. For generations, hunters compromised. Heavy boots meant protection but destroyed your connection to the ground. Lightweight boots meant agility but fell apart after one season. Stiff soles meant support but announced every step to everything within earshot. The Phantom Step changes the equation. ZERO-DROP FOUNDATION Built on a zero-drop platform, the Phantom Step aligns your body the way nature intended. No artificial heel lift throwing off your balance or causing fatigue. Your posture stays natural, your movements stay fluid, and your endurance increases mile after mile. This isn't just comfortable—it's biomechanically superior. GROUND TRUTH The minimal sole design isn't about being lightweight for the sake of it. It's about information. Every texture, every angle, every surface tells you something. On scree fields, you feel instability before you commit your weight. On wet logs, you sense the slip before it happens. In timber, you know when you're about to snap a branch. The Phantom Step gives you terrain data that thick-soled boots bury under layers of foam and rubber. SILENT OPERATOR Our carefully selected rubber compound delivers silent movement without compromise. It grips on wet rock and loose dirt without the noise penalty of traditional aggressive tread. Combined with the low stack height and flexible sole, the Phantom Step lets you place your foot deliberately, rolling from heel to toe in near silence. You're not just quieter—you're hunting with a tactical advantage. PRECISION FIT SYSTEM The micro-adjustable lacing system isn't a gimmick—it's a game-changer. Dial in the perfect fit in seconds with one hand. Too tight after climbing a steep ridge? Loosen it without breaking stride. Need more support for the pack-out? Tighten it down and lock it in. The system stays secure through creek crossings, scrambles, and everything in between. DESIGNED FOR REAL FEET The wide toe box is where comfort meets performance. Your toes need room to splay for balance and blood flow. Cramped, narrow boots cause hot spots, blisters, and fatigue. The Phantom Step gives your foot the space it needs to function naturally—improving stability on uneven terrain and preventing the numbness and pain that plague traditional hunting boots. ULTRALIGHT ENGINEERING At under 12 ounces per boot, the Phantom Step is in a class of its own. That's not just impressive on paper—it's transformative in the field. Less weight on your feet means less energy expenditure with every step. Over a 10-mile day, you've lifted hundreds of pounds less than with traditional boots. That energy goes into alertness, patience, and performance when the shot presents itself. BUILT TO SURVIVE Don't mistake lightweight for fragile. The CBB canvas and TPU upper construction provides exceptional durability while keeping weight minimal. Puncture resistance up to 800 newtons protects your feet from thorns, sharp rocks, and everything the backcountry throws at you. Water-resistant construction keeps your feet dry through wet grass and light creek crossings, with out-of-box waterproofing lasting up to 4 hours in static water conditions. This is armor that weighs nothing. BUILT TO DISAPPEAR The CBB camo pattern is the result of extensive field testing in Montana's diverse terrain. It breaks up your outline in sage, blends into timber, and works from sea level to alpine. This isn't camo designed in a lab—it's proven in the places we hunt. THREE-SEASON WARRIOR Rated from 30°F to 100°F, the Phantom Step is your go-to boot for spring, summer, and fall hunts. The breathable canvas upper manages moisture during hard climbs while the TPU overlays provide targeted protection from brush, rocks, and the elements. This is the boot that handles opening day archery heat and late-season rifle cold with equal confidence. MONTANA PROVEN Designed in the shadow of the Chain of Buttes and tested in the same rugged landscape where we hunt. Every design decision was made in the field, not in a boardroom. We wore prototypes until they failed, then made them better. The Phantom Step is the result of that obsessive process. THE BOTTOM LINE This isn't a boot for everyone. If you want maximum cushioning, ankle support, and winter insulation, there are other options. But if you want to move with confidence, hunt with stealth, and feel connected to the terrain beneath your feet—if you believe that less weight, more ground feel, and natural biomechanics give you an edge—then the Phantom Step was built for you. Join the barefoot hunting revolution. Move like a phantom.
