The Camena Tarot: Deck

The Camena Tarot is a luminous 26-card divination deck, co-created by artist Lou Benesch and tarot scholar Laetitia Barbier. Rooted in the French tradition of reading with the Major Arcana, this deck features the 22 Marseille-style arcanas along with four original Camena cards linked to the element of water. This unique collaboration merges Laetitia’s deep symbolic insight with Lou’s visionary artistic voice. The deck pays homage to the Camenae, ancient Roman water spirits and seers, whose songs echo through the imagery. The four added cards act as portals to their watery realm, inviting seekers into a dialogue with the archaic spirit of flow, intuition, and prophecy. Printed in an extra-large format (approx. 3.25" x 5.25") with luminous gilded edges, each card offers an immersive visual and emotional experience. The companion guidebook—written by Laetitia—spans over 70 pages and includes the story of the deck’s creation, poetic meditations, symbolic interpretations and suggested spreads. Whether you are a seasoned reader or a curious newcomer, this deck provides a profound gateway into the mysteries of water and the transformative art of tarot.
