THE BENCH CODE (E-BOOK)

The Bench Code Make every rep count. The Bench Code brings together proven methods from JM Blakley, Greg Panora, Luke Edwards, Jen Thompson, Jimmy Kolb, and Tony Carlino to help you bench more—raw or equipped—without fluff. It’s clear, practical, and built for lifters and coaches who value Focus, Trust, and Strength. Live, Learn, Pass On. What You’ll Learn Coaching the Mind (JM Blakley): Stack wins with a simple confidence ladder. No failed lifts during the build—win on purpose. Westside Lessons (Panora & Edwards): Use tools by fit and timing, not hype. Keep “touch skill” alive, and push speed/volume until it’s a question—never chaos. Meet-Day Bench (Jen Thompson): Grip & wrist stack → scap set & chest up → natural bar path → leg drive last. One variable per wave. Owning Goal Weight (Jimmy Kolb): Use boards/reverse bands/partials early; trade circus for clean singles and real touches as you peak. Band-Shirt Precision (Tony Carlino): Touch–Tuck–Flare–Finish in that order. Micro-tuck to touch; flare only when it stalls. Quick Wins You Can Use Today Bench Triage: 1) Grip & wrist stack 2) Scaps down/back, chest up 3) Natural bar path 4) Leg drive 5) Then load. 3 Micro-Drills: Grip Stack 5×5 (empty bar), Arch & Pack ISO (3×20s), Path Trace on warm-ups.
