The Barka Pattern

About the pattern A simple dog coat for your furry friend. Make it bagged out with lining or lined with bound edges. 10% of sales for this pattern will be going to Dogs Trust UK.  Seam allowance is 1cm, unless stated otherwise. Skill level - advanced beginner. Note: For both views, and how to measure your dog, please look at the line drawings in our gallery. Fabric suggestions - Oilskin, dry oilskin, cotton jacquard, mid - heavy cotton canvas or twill, mid weight denim or corduroy. For the lining we would suggest barrier lining or a simple stable cotton. Consider if you will want to put this dog coat in the washing machine when choosing cloth - for example oilskin cannot be washed - you would let the dirt dry and then brush it off.
