The Bambino | Plus

Small footprint, big attitude. Performance Meets Simplicity The Bambino Plus brings serious espresso chops into a countertop-friendly package under 8 inches wide. It nails the "4‑Keys" formula—freshly ground coffee at the right dose, precise temperature control, perfect pressure, and microfoam milk—so you can hit café‑quality levels without the café‑size bulk.   It uses a ThermoJet® heating system that reaches optimal extraction temperature in just 3 seconds—no more waiting for your morning coffee.   Efficient, Compact, and Built for Real Life Espresso Performance: 54 mm stainless steel portafilter handles 18–19 g of ground coffee for robust flavor and crema.Includes both dual- and single-wall filter baskets. Advanced Heat Control: PID temperature regulation ensures consistent shots every time. Milk Magic: The automatic steam wand foams milk with three adjustable texture and temperature settings—hands-free microfoam ready for latte art. You can also steam manually if you'd rather get hands-on. Perfect for Tight Spaces: Measures roughly 7.6–7.7" W × 11.8–12.5" H × 12.2–13 +" D—ideal for cramped counters. Pros and Trade-Offs Pros: Ultra-quick heat-up and shot consistency thanks to ThermoJet and PID. Hands-off milk steaming simplifies lattes; manual mode keeps purists happy. Compact design doesn’t sacrifice quality. Quirks You Should Know About: No built-in grinder—get your own burr grinder or use pre-ground beans. The drip tray is tiny—plan to empty it often. Fixed steam wand doesn’t swivel—might feel awkward for angled milk steaming. Plastic contact surfaces inside the machine (though BPA-free); Breville won’t disclose full internal materials. Heating tech isn’t dual-boiler level; thermoblock-style ThermoJet delivers plenty for most but not all enthusiasts. Final Verdict If you're tired of bulky, complicated espresso machines and want something compact, fast, and reliable, the Bambino Plus delivers. It lets beginners look like pros and keeps coffee nerds from rolling their eyes—with sensible features and no frills. Yes, it's not perfect—but it's honest, high-performance, and won't eat half your counter space.
