The Arran Malt Single Malt Barrel Reserve 86 Proof 700ml

The Arran Malt Single Malt Barrel Reserve 86 Proof 700ml  Scotland's island gem, at its most accessible. Nestled on the Isle of Arran off Scotland's west coast — where cool Atlantic air, pure mountain water, and unhurried time conspire to make exceptional whisky — the Arran Distillery has quietly become one of Scotland's most respected craft producers. The Barrel Reserve is their entry point, and it sets the bar high. Non-chill filtered and natural in color, this is single malt Scotch the way it was meant to be presented — honest, unmanipulated, and full of character. Aged in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks, the result is a whisky of genuine warmth and approachability without sacrificing complexity. The nose is inviting and fresh — vanilla, toffee, and ripe orchard fruit with a subtle coastal breeze underneath. On the palate, creamy malt, honey, and light spice develop beautifully, with the sherry influence adding a touch of dried fruit and gentle oak. The finish is smooth, medium-length, and quietly satisfying — clean and warm right to the end. At 43% ABV, it strikes the ideal balance between drinkability and depth. A perfect introduction to island Scotch for the curious, and a reliable staple for the seasoned drinker. Sip it neat. Add a drop of water. Either way, Arran delivers.
