Texas Two Step Combo - Rambler BBQ

Texas Two Step Combo The Texas Two Step isn’t just a dance — It's a tradition, and a way of doing things in Texas: simple steps, done with confidence, that lead to big results. That’s exactly what this rub duo delivers. This brisket method uses two purposeful layers to build real Texas flavor. Red Dirt sets the base with a savory blend of salt, paprika, garlic, onion, and gentle herbs—think of it as a refined all‑purpose seasoning with a rustic twist. Its balanced, earthy character enhances beef and builds a warm, slightly sweet foundation for slow-smoked meats. Black Gold follows as the second step, delivering a bold, beef‑forward burst of cracked black pepper and complimentary spices. Its coarse texture and rich, peppery bite create a distinctive bark and deepen the meat’s natural flavor without overwhelming it. Your brisket doesn’t need complication — it just needs the right two steps.
