Increase Circulation L-Arginine is an essential amino acid and potent stimulator for growth hormone release, insulin and glucagon. L-arginine is used to make nitric oxide, a compound in the body that relaxes blood vessels. Preliminary studies have found that L-arginine may help with conditions that improve when blood vessels are relaxed (called vasodilation), such as atherosclerosis, erectile dysfunction, and intermittent claudication. Ginkgo Biloba is often used to help with increased blood flow to the genitals. Recent evidence indicates Ginkgo biloba extract appears to be effective in addressing erectile dysfunction and decreased sex drive. It also increases the blood flow to the brain and through both major blood vessels and capillaries. Asian Ginseng is commonly included in herbal formulas used for the aiding with sexual dysfunction. Recent studies in laboratory animals have shown that ginseng enhances libido and copulatory performance. It appears to be mediated by the release and/or modification of release of nitric oxide from endothelial cells. 2. Increase Testosterone Levels Tribulus Terrestris is most often used for infertility, erectile dysfunction, and low libido. In the last decade, it has become popular to improve sports performance. Tribulus has gained popularity after research performed in Bulgaria and Russia indicated that tribulus increases levels of the hormones testosterone (by increasing luteinizing hormone) and DHEA. Maca ancient Incan warriors took maca before going off to battle to make them physically strong. Recent studies confirm the historical use of maca for libido and strength. Usage of maca resulted in increased seminal volume, sperm count, and sperm motility. Epimedium Herb Powder studies indicate that it may work by increasing nitric oxide levels, which relaxes smooth muscle and allows more blood flow. Epimedium Herb Powder also appears to act by inhibiting the PDE-5 enzyme, which is the same way that the popular drug Viagra works. 3. Hormone Balancer DIM helps to eliminate active estrogen from the body by promoting its conversion into the “good” metabolites. These metabolites then free up testosterone by bumping it off the testosterone-binding proteins. The end result is a healthier balance of testosterone to estrogen and more free testosterone circulating in the body. In scientific studies, high levels of testosterone and low levels of estrogen have been linked to lean body mass, an efficient fat-burning metabolism, and low abdominal obesity. Factors that contribute to low testosterone levels: medications, sugar, stress, alcohol, aging, caffeine, nutritional imbalance, vegetarian diet low in cholesterol and healthy fats, low fat diet, and nicotine
