Tesla Auxiliary Power Unit System (APS) 12-Volt High Amperage / High Output Upfit Systems Supply

The first issue upfitters encounter when specifying an upfit package for a Tesla is the lack of adequate onboard low voltage power supply.  Although Tesla models are electric vehicles, they operate on a 400-Volt structure and use a small DC-to-DC converter to feed a very low amperage 12-16v sub-structure.   The existing 12-16v sub-structure will not support auxiliary loads typical for most any upfit lighting, sirens, cameras, and radios.  Overloading the OEM Tesla 12-16v circuit will cause the circuit to shut off (digital circuit breaker) and trigger service errors.  Worse yet, when the low voltage circuit fails or shuts down, the Tesla bricks - inoperable and in most cases doors / windows are closed and locked until the low voltage system is properly trickle charged back to a minimum threshold.   Additionally, any attempts to hack a secondary DC-to-DC converter directly to the high voltage battery will be limited to operating only when the Tesla is 'on', or by trying to trick the Tesla into staying on -- these are far from fool proof and robust solutions, along with being risk to OTA update obsolescence.       Rest assured, the engineers at T Sportline have developed a proper high-amperage, low voltage auxiliary power unit system (APS) specifically for Tesla integration.   The APS was engineered from the ground-up for Tesla upfitting power supply, in order to provide a nominal 12.8-Volt, 100 amp auxiliary power source in full cooperation and compatibility with the OEM high voltage structure.   The APS is a bolt-in solution, supported directly by the Tesla OEM low voltage power circuit, without any risk of triggering errors or circuit trips on the OEM circuits.   The APS is also able to be powered on and left on, independent of the Tesla run mode - there is no need to turn the Tesla on, nor any need to trick the Tesla into entering or remaining in Drive mode.   Further, there is no direct integration with the 400-volt system, so no dangerous installation or high-voltage training certification is needed to install the system.      Note: We have retrofit our APS to fix other Tesla upfits that tapped power unreliably from the high-voltage or low voltage systems, which proved highly problematic - read this blog article.  Contact us for special assistance retrofitting old / other Tesla upfits to improve reliability and performance.      Each APS system includes a remote mount monitor gauge, allowing operators to view system status, run time and power levels.      Fitment: Works with Tesla Model 3 / Y / S / X / Cybertruck  Tesla Model Y / 3 (shown) Fits in 3 /Y cargo hatch (under removable Tesla factory cargo floor) Optionally fits in frunk Tesla Model S / X Fits in S/X lower cargo areas or frunk Tesla Cybertruck  Fits in Frunk    Specifications: Approved for Telsa usage - will not void Tesla warranty OTA safe - no OTA update obsolescence risk Compatible with Tesla - no error codes, will not short/trip low voltage circuit  Nominal voltage: 12.8 Standard Power: 100ah Note: custom power capacity is available upon quote Maximum Load: 100A Ignition Signal Equipped (sleep/awake) Remote Monitor - Cat 3 port On-board thermal circuit breaker: 80amp / 100amp
