Terralta Blanco 110 Proof Tequila

Terralta Blanco 110 Proof Tequila is a bold, high-proof expression designed for tequila purists who want maximum agave intensity. Bottled at 110 proof (55% ABV), it amplifies the natural character of the agave with powerful minerality, bright citrus, and peppery spice while maintaining surprising balance and clarity. For enthusiasts who enjoy sipping high-proof blancos, this tequila delivers a vibrant, unfiltered look at traditional agave craftsmanship. Origins & Craftsmanship Terralta is produced at Destilería El Pandillo (NOM 1579) in Jalisco, Mexico, under the direction of renowned third-generation master distiller Felipe Camarena. The distillery is widely respected among tequila enthusiasts for its additive-free approach and innovative production equipment. The tequila is made from 100% Blue Weber agave, harvested at peak maturity. After slow cooking, the agave is crushed using Camarena’s custom machinery—including his mechanical tahona-style shredder nicknamed “Frankenstein”—to extract the agave juices efficiently while preserving flavor. Fermentation and proofing rely on deep well water drawn from roughly 450 feet underground, known for its high mineral content. This water source plays a major role in Terralta’s distinctive earthy and mineral-driven profile. Unlike the standard 40% ABV bottling, the 110 proof version is released at a much higher strength, allowing the tequila to retain a fuller texture, more concentrated agave flavor, and a longer finish. Critics Reviews There are no widely published numeric scores from major spirits publications for Terralta Blanco 110 Proof.
