Tern Sidekick Joyride Bars

Seatpost Handlebars for a Safer, Cozier Ride-Along The Tern Sidekick Joyride Bars give rear passengers a secure, easy-to-reach handhold so they can settle in and enjoy the ride. The U-shaped design brings the bars closer to the passenger, which helps big kids and adults feel more stable even when seated further back on the rack. Mounted to the seatpost and paired with the Captain’s Chair or a Sidekick Seat Pad, they help create a semi-enclosed “cabin” that feels more like a proper seat than just perching on a rack. The same setup can double as a support frame for crates and boxes on grocery or cargo-only runs. Design That Works Provides secure handlebars for big kid and adult passengers seated on a Captain’s Chair or Sidekick Seat Pad. U-shaped bar brings the handhold closer so passengers can sit further back while still holding on comfortably. Ergonomic grips add comfort and control for longer rides. Extended side rails offer extra hand protection and a more “inboard” feeling space. Pairs with the Captain’s Chair to form a semi-enclosed, supportive passenger cabin that can also carry crates or boxes. Mounts directly to 30.9–34.9 mm seatposts with a secure clamp. Part of Tern’s Passenger System; intended to be used with appropriate seats, footrests, and wheel guards for safe kid carrying. Note: Because it mounts to the seatpost, the Joyride Bar can raise the minimum usable saddle height, especially for shorter riders.
