(Mature Size: 28"T x 60"W) Hosta nigrescens background that is a long standing Japanese cultivar named for the Tenryu river area. This giant hosta forms an upright mound of blue-green foliage with silvery white backsides. Leaves are moderately cupped and slightly corrugated adding to the appeal of this beauty. The leaves look like rolled tongues held on very stiff upright petioles. Lavender flowers are borne on very tall scapes. Why Should I Grow It? Nice tall upright mound with cupped foliage. Good background plant. (S. Yoshie/P. Ruh 2002) Giant Hosta Cultivar Color: Blue-Green Size: 28 inches tall by 60 inches wide (or larger) Type: Giant Hosta Product Size: 4.5 Inch Container
