Temptress Corn Seeds

Temptress Corn, a delectable sweet corn variety, boasts a rich history in the United States. This cultivar is celebrated for its exceptional taste and tenderness, making it a favorite among corn aficionados. The Temptress Corn plant typically reaches a height of about 6 to 7 feet, featuring sturdy stalks with dark green foliage and producing multiple ears per stalk. The ears are adorned with plump, golden-yellow kernels that fill to the tip, showcasing their lusciousness. Taste-wise, Temptress Corn offers a delightful combination of sweetness and tenderness. The kernels are juicy and succulent, with a deliciously sweet flavor that captures the essence of summer. This makes it an excellent choice for eating fresh, boiling, steaming, or grilling. When planting from seed, Temptress Corn thrives in well-draining, nutrient-rich soil with ample sunlight. Sow seeds directly into the ground once the soil has warmed to around 60°F (15°C), usually around the last frost date. Plant the seeds in blocks rather than rows to promote pollination, as corn is wind-pollinated. Consistent watering, especially during the critical pollination period, contributes significantly to healthy ear development. Adequate spacing between plants, generally about 12 to 15 inches apart, ensures proper growth and allows for optimal air circulation. Temptress Corn's delectable taste, multiple ears per stalk, and easy-to-grow nature make it a sought-after variety for home gardeners and food enthusiasts eager to enjoy the sweet taste of freshly harvested corn during the summer months.
