Tempest 8' 2" 3wt. (Dun) rod kit

The Tempest is an 8'2" 3wt fiberglass blank designed around a smooth, controlled medium action. Built from E-glass, it delivers the softer feel and natural loading characteristics that make fiberglass so enjoyable while maintaining the precision and recovery needed for accurate casting. The progressive taper loads smoothly from the tip through roughly two-thirds of the blank, creating a deep, connected casting stroke that protects delicate tippets and presents flies with confidence. The medium action provides feel and feedback without becoming overly soft or sluggish. Finished as a four-piece blank, the Tempest offers classic fiberglass character.   This kit can be customized with the drop down menus to the right.  You can select the grip, reel seat hardware, reel seat insert, and guide set color.  The guide set comes complete with a hand fit tip top, full set of guides, stripping guide, hand fit winding check, and a hook keeper.   Build Recomendations: Grip: Torpedo, Reverse half wells, or cigar Reel seat: black or black nickel with black burl or standard burl  Guides: dark  Thread:  NOCP in Moss Green  For additional custom options such as a custom label or alignment dots, please visit our custom "add on" page.  You can find it here:   https://www.proofflyfishing.com/collections/custom-rod-kit-upgrades Specs: Length: 8'  2" Line weight: 3 Sections: 4 Fiberglass: e-glass color: Dun (medium gray) Tip top: 4.0 butt diameter: .453" Weight: 2.19oz.
