Tempe Arizona Hotel Keychain

Made for Tempe Dwellers! In 1871, Tempe founder Charles Hayden established a ferry to cross the Salt River. Nearly 60 years later, the Mill avenue bridge was constructed in almost the exact same spot. In the early 1900's, a dam was constructed to control the frequent flooding, and a dry river bed replaced what was once the free-flowing Salt River. In 1966, a group of architecture students at ASU came up with a design that would safely return water to the river bed. They named this project "Rio Salado" and it was the start of the Tempe Town Lake we enjoy today. Each option has the modern day bridge on the front with the words "Tempe Arizona Est 1894" and on the back, an illustration of Hayden's Ferry. Choose from a green keychain with white printing or a maroon keychain with yellow printing. Made of acrylic. Measures 1.77" wide by 3.5" tall. Price is per keychain.
