Tek Towel - Super Absorbent. Fast Drying. Designed Specifically for Divers.

THE HARDEST WORKING TOWEL IN THE INDUSTRY A good solid towel is one of those items we all take for granted. It seems so basic, so ordinary, that anything should work. Right?  Wrong. The right pre and post-dive support items are critical pieces of dive kit that can mean the difference between enjoying your dive or just suffering through it. Made from finely woven synthetic microfiber, the Tek is superior to traditional towels in nearly every way and is an essential item in any diver’s bag. The Tek is not just any towel, but the result of 20 years of search and rescue dive experience, and 20 years of being let down by gear that just doesn’t measure up to the demands of difficult diving and challenging dive conditions. After constantly replacing regular towels, dealing with towels that took way too long to dry, and carting bulky towels to remote dive sites only to have them fly off or stink of mildew, it was time to ditch the ‘standard’ towel and make something that worked as hard as veteran divers do. Folds up to the size of a small novel and weighs less than 1lb. Meaning more room in your dive bag for critical gear and no carting bulky towels to remote dive sites. Finely woven microfiber traps moisture, not absorbs it, so dry times are measured in minutes and the dramatically increased surface area of the fibers means the Tek can hold seven times its weight in water. 100% synthetic fibers makes the Tek naturally antimicrobial and mildew resistant, so no more dank smell when you’re trying to wipe your face after a dive. Soft waffle-weave texture has a natural wicking ability meaning one-wipe drying of surfaces and no more ‘slug trail’ of water that escaped. Convenient hang loop and integrated name tag puts an end to towels flying away in the wind -  - or being appropriated by your "buddy.". Simply secure the loop to a handrail or object and the towel can dry without flying away. The Tek can be used as a changing drape, gear mat, decon towel, gear wrap, as an actual towel to dry yourself with... Trust us, it's durable and ready to work. A good dive bag will hit you $100+ and reliable undergarments north of $500. Let's face it, dive kit is specific and made to support one thing: diving.  Keeping yourself and your gear ready for repeat dives is not a job for the bathroom special.  “Not all towels are created equal! This one rises above the others. It’s big enough to cover up and change on the fly when you’re called to a scene and tough enough to hold up to the demands of Public Safety Diving. It packs away small and has a handy button tab that keeps the towel wherever you hang it. The best part about the towel is it does what you want from a towel and dries you off. The towel itself dries quickly for a quick return to work. You can’t go wrong in adding the BMD Tek Towel to your dive kit.”  - Mike T. (verified buyer)   As with all our products, if the Tek doesn’t ruin your expectations for every other drying cloth, we stand behind it. Don’t like it? Feel lied to? It doesn’t perform?
