Techkon SpectroDens Upgrades

Upgrade your Existing SpectroDens With a simple file upload and quick install, your Basic or Advanced SpectroDens can be upgraded.  Three Versions of SpectroDens: Basic: includes the essential density functions Automatic density, Density CMYK (with reference measurements), Dot area, Dot gain, Print contrast, Gray and color balance, Ink trapping, Printing curve, Density spectrum, Spectral density for spot colors, Trend function ExPresso mini, Slur/doubling, Dot area to Yule-Nielsen for printing plates, LED technology provides measurement conditions M0-M3 according to ISO 13655   Advanced: adds extended densitometry functions, colorimetry and a color library Same as Basic plus CIE L*a*b*, ΔE*a*b*, CIE L*C*h*ab, CIE XYZ, CIE color circle, ΔE*cmc, ΔE*CIE94, ΔE*CIE2000, Remission spectrum, InkCheck: Color control of spot colors, Color library with up to 20 color books and a total number of 3000 reference values, Memory capacity for 1200 sample values and 300 reference values, GrayGuide according to Gracol G7™   Premium: the comprehensive, flagship version Does everything the Advanced does and adds Ugra/Fogra media wedge evaluation, ISO-Check: Color control according to ISO 12647, CIE L*u*v*, CIE L*C*h*uv, CIE xyY, DIN Lab99, Metamery index, Whiteness, Yellowness, Pass/fail tolerance, Average Premium version is particularly good at evaluating the Ugra/Fogra media wedge because the device toggles between colorimetric measurement without polarization filter and density measurement with filter at the push of a button.  How are the units upgraded, what is the process? It is a very simple process via program upload with a USB connection to a PC. Is PantoneLIVE Connectivity available with SpectroDens? The “partner ecosystem” for PantoneLIVE includes several software solution providers for color quality control. Their products are licensed to access PantoneLIVE color libraries. Typically, measurement devices connect with the color QC software which in turn connects with PantoneLIVE. Examples of widely used print color quality applications that connect with PantoneLIVE are MeasureColor and HAVI ColorSentry. Both of these applications, among others, also connect with Techkon SpectroDENS. Any other software application can also be easily connected with Techkon devices. Available for immediate download.
