Taureg Copper Amulet Pouch

This Tuareg metal amulet pouch, traditionally crafted for spiritual protection during desert travel, carries a strong, grounded presence. Made of worked copper, it was designed to be hung from a camel or horse harness and once held written charms or protective materials meant to guard both animal and rider. Its sculpted form is animated by dangling rings and original leather ties, creating subtle sound and movement when stirred - an intentional activation, keeping energy in circulation rather than still. The surface holds a deep, time-worn patina, with softened markings, spiral motifs, and tonal variation that give the metal depth and character. The spirals, a recurring Tuareg symbol, speak to continuity and protection, while the remaining leather elements add warmth and contrast. Hung on a wall, layered into an altar, or styled among collected objects, it brings quiet power and presence to a space. A piece that gently organizes the atmosphere around it.
