Tasso Ham

SQM TASSO HAM- If there was one word to describe this classic SQM cut- it would be AWESOME!  Our Tasso Ham is prepared from the "bottom round" muscle of the pig- we cure the meat in a special Cajun Tasso rub and then smoke over applewood chips.  The result is ham unlike any other ham you have ever had.  We use a slow curing process- so the meat is not overly salty and it has a great whole-meat texture.  It's delicious sliced on sandwiches or added to a charcuterie platter.  In the SQM house- we cube it and add it to eggs or soups or mac and cheese.  It's good on pizza too! We offer "deli-sliced" packages as well as whole- muscle pieces.  Each package is vacuum sealed.
