Task-Based Learning Japanese for College Students - Intermediate Part 3

This practical guidebook is tailored for learners who have achieved Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) Level B1.2 and aspire to progress to Level B2 and beyond. Immersing themselves in diverse Japanese topics and themes, this textbook aims to bolster two crucial abilities: proficiency in Japanese and profound comprehension of various content. Within the book, seven distinct lessons are structured around engaging themes, such as "what is it like to share your life with animals" "what things are most important for you" and "what does ~rashii mean." The final project, centered on the social topics introduced in these lessons, presents learners with an opportunity to synthesize their newfound knowledge effectively. In classroom settings, learners will embark on the challenge of accomplishing diverse tasks using Japanese. The acquisition of Japanese language skills (vocabulary, expressions, grammar, kanji, etc.) and study techniques (note-taking, research, presentations, etc.) will provide essential support in these endeavors. Through consistent application of these skills across various tasks, learners can effectively put their knowledge into practice. Intermediate 3, the volume at hand, introduces an expanded array of social and academic subjects commonly encountered in university classes. The book encompasses a variety of tasks, designed for individual, paired, and group work. Emphasizing autonomous learning and dialogue-based approaches, this textbook acknowledges the diverse cultural backgrounds of Japanese learners.
