Task-Based Learning Japanese for College Students - Intermediate

This book is comprehensive teaching material for university students who have already gained a basic understanding of Japanese and want to move from beginner to intermediate level. It aims to help them acquire Japanese skills at the B1 and B2 levels, according to CEFR. The book consists of seven lessons and a project. Each class includes a three-step task based on a theme, such as "Planning a Trip" or "Thinking about Differences." Both themes and tasks become more complex as the book progresses, allowing students to naturally advance from the end of the beginner level to the early intermediate level. The project section is an opportunity for learners to consolidate the Japanese language skills they have acquired in the textbook and develop academic Japanese skills. Rather than simply learning the language, students will not only be able to improve their Japanese language skills but also deepen their understanding and thinking about the topics. The textbook also places emphasis on learning through dialogues, as holding collaborative discussions with peers with many different values can help to acquire the ability to think deeply. Vocabulary and sentence patterns/expressions are accompanied by English translations. There are also free supplementary materials such as audio, practice sheets, and teacher's guides available online.
