TARWI - Antioxidant Complete Protein* - Digestive Cardiovascular & Pancreatic Support* THE PETZ KITCHEN™

TARWI POWDER THE PETZ KITCHEN™ - Antioxidant Complete Protein* - Digestive & Cardiovascular Support*  TARWI POWDER is an ancient Peruvian super food seed and legume that is prized as one of the most nutritious and highest complete protein sources on earth, with 40% protein and 20% plant based Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids, including linoleic acid. Using TARWI POWDER as an Omega 3 and 6 addition to your pet's diet may help remove the risk of rancidity commonly associated with fish oils. TARWI POWDER is grown and harvested in the rugged terrain of the Andean highland mountains, at altitudes over 12000 feet. Tarwi grows in some of the harshest conditions on the planet, enduring both extreme frost and heat cycles, and as a result of adapting to its challenging growing conditions, produces a nutrient dense profile that exceeds most foods placed in the gluten free cereal category, including quinoa and amaranth. TARWI POWDER is rich in fiber, protein, antioxidants, amino acids, lysine, arginine, probiotics, trace macro and micro minerals including zinc, manganese, magnesium, copper, thiamine and folate and is a complete, sustainable and regenerative protein source. Although labeled as a “grain”, in its seed form it is best grouped in the super food legume category. Tarwi has an interesting flavor, often described as potato with sour cream.   TARWI POWDER contains a full array of essential and non essential amino acids, like lysine and arginine, which are often missing in modern diets. Tarwi is highly revered as an antioxidant nutritional powerhouse with potential therapeutic indications related to cardiovascular health, digestive upset, diabetes, neuro-degenerative cognitive diseases and irregular tissues.  TARWI POWDER is used traditionally to help address digestive disorders such as constipation and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) due to its high probiotic and fiber content. As a bowel regulator and adaptogen, its fiber content may help bulk up and/or soften stools as needed, and may help promote native gut flora, healthy digestion and proper elimination. TARWI POWDER may have therapeutic indications for heart and circulatory health due to its arginine content which converts to amino acids and aids in nitric oxide production. Nitric oxide is a neurotransmitter that helps promote blood circulation through vasodilation aTnd/or vasoconstriction of the blood vessels as needed. In regulating circulation, Tarwi may help prevent clogged arteries related to conditional needs of angina, coronary artery disease and high blood pressure. Arginine is also instrumental in regulating low density lipoprotein (LDL or bad cholesterol) while promoting high density lipoprotein (HDL or good cholesterol).  TARWI POWDER may be a beneficial addition to pets diagnosed with diabetes and pancreatic insufficiency due to its low glycemic index and high fiber content. Tarwi Powder may help improve insulin sensitivity as its carbohydrate base is digested slowly and does not produce spikes in blood glucose levels.   TARWI POWDER may have an important role in helping heal wounds and promoting tissue cell regeneration. Its amino acid content is a building block of protein, which helps form tissues, cells, muscles, bones and connective tissues as well as promote nutrient assimilation and waste removal in the animal body.  TARWI POWDER may help support a list of other conditional needs related to immune, bone, reproductive, pancreatic and metabolic health by helping to improve immune, bone, antioxidant, metabolic, structural and antioxidant natural healthy phytochemical tools. Some health benefits to be potential derived surround immune regulation, bone, cell and connective tissue health, helping to promote healthy cell membranes, muscle function, and endocannabinoid structural and signaling capabilities.   TARWI POWDER includes both sweet and bitter varietals.
