Target

In Migle Kosinskaite’s work, Target focuses on a single hand held upright against a dark background. The fingers are long and steady, and the cool blue-gray color of the skin gives the image a calm, quiet presence. The hand appears almost sculptural, as if captured in a moment of stillness. At the center of the palm rests a circular symbol - a white ring surrounding a bright red dot. This bold detail draws the eye immediately and brings intensity to the composition. The contrast between the muted hand and the vivid red creates a strong visual balance. At its heart, Target invites reflection on direction, purpose, or vulnerability - the idea of something being marked or chosen. The artwork’s simplicity carries a quiet power. And while the piece stands beautifully on its own, its symbolic clarity fits naturally within Migle Kosinskaite’s wider collection of thoughtful and visually striking works.
