Tapewound Bass Strings #3060

GHS Tapewound Bass Strings combine a low tension string, the feel of a flatwound and woody, organic tones that remind you of a good double bass. We use a mix of roundwound and flatwound steel strings and wrap a black nylong tape around them and polish it smooth. The result is a string with a mellow sound but clear and definite articulation. Perfect for when you're looking for something different to stand out in the mix. Why Should You Play Tapewounds?     You're looking for a more woody, upright vibe on your acoustic-electric bass     You're lookng for a low tension, effortless set of bass strings     You want a mellow sound with clear articulation and sound Please Note: Due to the construction process, GHS does not recommend using our tapewound strings on a thru-body bridge. Doing so can expose the final nylon cover to sharp edges, causing it to tear and unravel. 3060     SETS - TAPEWOUND - 3060 Set, Medium (37.25" winding)      1 - G: 3061 (.050) 2 - D: 3062 (.070) 3 - A: 3063 (.090) 4 - E: 3064 (.105)
