Tape Measures in Gradient Repose | Prints

My passion for knitting has expanded to include photography. As hand dyed yarn has evolved into an art in and of itself, my skeins seem to beckon my camera to capture their beauty before they are transformed into knitted pieces.  This image captured a project I did for the RiverArts tour that takes place every spring in Westchester County, NY. I covered many tape measures with a variety of colorful yarn for the event and thought they were quite beautiful lying side by side. Prints are available in 4" x 6" and 5" x 7".
