Inspired by hand-crafted Japanese swords. This shear is hand-forged and beautifully crafted from tips to finger rest. Also made out of a new American made Carbide steel that has wear resistance statistics that more than double that of any other material being used for shears. The Molybdenum/Vanadium Carbide steel allows us to put a full 5 year warranty on the edge, along with the lifetime warranty on all materials and craftsmanship. TAO has the entire pivot area inlaid with ultra smooth polymer. This eliminates metal to metal contact keeping the shear feeling and moving like new while also extending the life of the pivot area by avoiding any grinding down of metal so that your shears don't become imbalanced. The tension system employs sealed ball bearings to stabilize the blades to roll open smoothly and further extends the life of the shear. This shear comes with an upgraded FREE case!
