Talisman Waxed Jacket

Cast from a legacy of adventure, refined for the present, the next generation Talisman Jacket represents the most capable expression of a timeless form. Rooted in the traditions of British and American hunting jackets - and informed by decades of field use - the Talisman evolves without erasing its past. Every update serves a purpose: greater mobility, improved utility, and a more intuitive interface for life in motion. Constructed from Halley Stevensons’ historic Silkwax cotton, the Talisman carries forward one of the most proven weatherproofing technologies ever developed. First adopted by sailors in the 19th century, waxed cotton remains unmatched in durability, repairability, and character. The Silkwax finish delivers a wet, supple hand with exceptional water resistance, draping with a refined, almost leather-like presence. Over time, the jacket records its use through creases and worn highlights - each mark a quiet ledger of experience earned. When desired, the wax can be easily renewed or naturally evened through wear and sun exposure, extending performance across decades. This new Talisman generation introduces deep action-back pleats, dramatically improving range of motion for riding, driving, shooting, and long days on the move - without compromising the jacket’s clean geometry. A fully functional sleeve placket allows sleeves to be rolled with intention and cinched securely over gloves, restoring a hallmark feature of true working wax jackets. The front body has been re-engineered with updated seam lines and pocket architecture. Dedicated hand-warmer pockets now offer immediate comfort, while the traditional waist patch pockets are freed to carry gear efficiently without interference. Inside and out, storage is deliberate, secure, and balanced for daily carry. A structured stand collar conceals a stowable hood, offering discreet weather protection when conditions turn. Fully finished and durably constructed, the Talisman is equally at home on rain-slicked streets, backcountry roads, and everywhere capability matters more than spectacle. The result is a jacket that respects history while advancing function - arguably the most complete, considered version of the Talisman ever built.
