Tabletop Tripod, NexStar Evolution/SE

Miniature tripod perfect for using your telescope on an elevated surface such as a picnic table Provides a solid, sturdy base for your NexStar Evolution and NexStar SE fork arm mount with telescope tube Features adjustment knobs and a bubble level to ensure the telescope is perfectly level even if the tabletop is not Three captured screws securely lock your mount and telescope to the tripod Tripod legs fold in for convenient transport Eliminate the need for your full-height tripod and enjoy grab-and-go convenience when you add the Tabletop Tripod to your NexStar Evolution or NexStar SE telescope. This compact and sturdy accessory is half the size and weight of a standard tripod, making it perfect for travel. The low-profile legs and wide footprint offer added stability, while the convenient tabletop design makes it easier for some observers (especially children) to access the eyepiece. Setup is quick and easy compared to a full-height tripod. Simply place the Tabletop Tripod on a camp table, bench, tailgate, or any other flat surface. With a footprint of just 17.5” x 16”, you can use it just about anywhere. Then, open and level the tripod legs, attach the mount and telescope, and observe. The Tabletop Tripod has adjustable knobs on each leg and a bubble leveler on the mount plate to ensure your setup is level before adding the telescope. Just like the NexStar SE and NexStar Evolution’s standard tripod, the Tabletop Tripod has three captured screws on the underside of the mount plate so you can securely lock your mount and telescope in place. When not in use, the Tabletop Tripod’s legs fold inward and stow neatly under the mount plate for easy storage and transport.   Tripod Comparison Chart Tabletop Tripod NexStar Evolution and SE Tripod Tripod Weight 6.8 lbs 13.2 lbs Tripod Height (Open) 7" at lowest setting 29" to 55" Tripod Length (Closed) 11" 32” legs retracted for storage Tripod Footprint (Open) 17" x 16" 27” x 24” legs retracted, 42” x 36” legs fully extended Specifications Tripod Weight: 6.8 lbs (3.08 kg) Tripod Height (open): 177.8mm (7") at lowest setting Tripod Length (closed): 279.4mm (11") Tripod Footprint (open): 444.5mm x 406.4mm (17.5" x 16") Tripod Diameter (closed): 241.3mm (9.5") Length of feet Adjustment: 35.56mm (1.4") Tripod Leg Diameter: 38.1mm (1.5") Stainless Steel Shipping Carton Dimension: 385.06mm x 335.02mm x 340.1mm (15.16" x 13.19" x 13.39") Shipping Carton Weight: 9.9lbs (4.49 kg)
