First place the posters. Then, label them by matching the name to each poster. Are they in season order? Add arrows to show which season follows which. Finally, add accents to decorate around each one.  Invite kids to draw their own version of the 4-seasons tree scene! Fold a sheet of paper into fours and unfold. Each draws a simple house or tree in the center of the paper. Kids label and decorate each quadrant taking cues from the season posters for things to include. Display them with the header. Dressing for each season is important to learn. Play a charades-like game by putting the season, temperature, precipitation, and more on slips of paper. Take turns acting out the scene from the paper and try to guess the season and weather. For even more fun, have a selection of accessories or clothing available too. Talk about the different weather for each season. Gather cotton balls and art supplies like markers and glue. Each child creates clouds in the sky using the cotton balls and then draws precipitation, the location of the sun, and other tell-tale signs in the sky for each season. Add to your seasons display.  On or near the official start date of a season host a seasonal celebration. Invite kids to bring (or wear) clothes appropriate for the next season, make hot cocoa or lemonade (or another seasonal treat), and talk about the activities and adventures for the upcoming season. Use your party time to redecorate your walls for the next season too.
